M-Audio Revolution 7.1
Certainly Revolution 7.1 hits the tops of quality sound, which I became personally assured of, and the element basis of sound card virtually corresponds to the professional level. The card supports ASIO and, seemingly, is able to satisfy the needs of newbie musicians, but the unjustified absence of digital input and MIDI-interface, in my opinion, may turn away large groups of users from the newly-designed product. For sure, such a measure of the manufacturer as removal of digital and MIDI-port of a sound card, refusal from the internal (on-board) auxiliary connectors relates primarily to the decrease in the number of elements of the card, which should ultimately have beneficial effect on the price. However, it’s a slacker in terms of price justifiability.  Here is a M-Audio Revolution 7.1 driver download page.
In any revolution there’s a standard-bearer holding aloft a banner. In our case, when the revolution does not apply to the overthrow of the socio-political system, the banner-bearers, in other words, standard bearers, must embody the development of new standards. But … there’s nothing alike we have in this ‘revolution’. In practice it turned out that this is just a bluster in the name of the product, whose role is to draw consumer’s attention. Pure marketing role.
